Our office is proud to serve Urbana and surrounding communities with cutting edge dentistry and a family like environment. Our dedicated team strives to meet your expectations, providing not only routine cleanings
and exams, x-rays and fillings, but also crowns, dentures, cosmetic procedures, and more. We are committed to offering care and education to help your smile last a lifetime.
We are happy to see new patients for a complete exam, x-rays, and oral cancer screening. Assuming there are no signs of periodontal (gum) disease, we would love to provide a cleaning at that initial visit as well. Of course, sometimes, dental emergencies happen. We are also happy to see you for an exam and x-ray if you are experiencing sensitivity or pain, and focus on alleviating the pain.
We are in network with many insurance plans, and are happy to file an insurance claim on your behalf, after you share your insurance information with us. We will contact your insurance company to check eligibility and coverage amounts. We will collect only the anticipated copay at the time of service. In addition to cash, check, credit/debit cards, we also accept Care Credit.
We ask that new patients please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to allow time to complete the new patient information, including a complete list of current medications.
We are looking forward to serving you!
**Please note that we are not in network with any form of Medicaid.**
As a new patient the dental hygienist will discuss your dental history and answer any questions you may have regarding oral hygiene habits, signs of gum disease, or brushing and flossing techniques. You will take a complete series of X-rays. You will see the dentist for a comprehensive exam where they check your entire mouth. You will discuss any concerns, sensitivity, or issues you are experiencing at this time.
At your first visit, you may not receive a cleaning. A cleaning may be completed after the doctor ensures it is the appropriate treatment for your specific oral health. There are certain conditions that determine if a cleaning is not the first best course of treatment. Once your oral health is stabilized, you can expect to have your exam and cleaning/hygiene appointments at the same time going forward.
When you come for an emergency dental exam, the dentist will only inspect the afflicted area causing your emergency. After x-rays are taken and the limited exam performed, the dentist will talk to you about the best course of action. If your crisis requires immediate treatment, you may be scheduled for an appointment that same day. If the problem can wait for a while, you may be scheduled within the coming days.
